Fortress Investment Group Completes First Acquisition for Fortress Real Estate Exchange Platform with Purchase of Domain at Town Centre Student Housing Community

New York, March 18, 2026 – Fortress Investment Group (“Fortress”) today announced that funds managed by its affiliates have closed the acquisition of Domain at Town Centre, a 912‑bed, class A student housing community located at West Virginia University.

The acquisition marks the first investment for Fortress Real Estate Exchange, the firm’s newly launched 1031 exchange platform which provides financial advisors and their clients with access to institutional‑quality real estate investments through Delaware Statutory Trusts (DSTs).

Domain at Town Centre, built in 2012, comprised of 336 units totaling more than 365,000 rentable square feet and is located approximately one mile from the campus of West Virginia University (WVU). The property has demonstrated consistent performance with average occupancy of 93% over the past four years. Moreover, strong fundamentals support the property’s ongoing strong performance: while there is no new supply of student housing near the WVU campus expected, the University’s President has committed to expanding the student body meaningfully in the coming years.
